Our History

Tega Cay Pickleball Club is a SC Non-Profit Corporation, started in January 2023. 

For several years, a group  of residents had worked with the City of Tega Cay to  get additional courts. In late 2022, City Leadership asked the group to form a formal Association in order to promote more effective communications with the city. 

Tega Cay Pickleball Club Membership quickly rose to almost 200, which is no surprise as the courts are in use almost constantly from 5am to after 11pm, and frequently overcrowded.   

Tega Cay Pickleball Club continues to act as the voice of Pickleball in working with Tega Cay Leadership  to improve the number of courts and condition of the courts for

this fast growing sport.

 We have instituted some revised court rules to assure all can have an opportunity to get on the courts and 

TCPCs Mission Statement:

The Tega Cay Pickleball Club exists to foster amateur Pickleball competition for 

all ages, and support the teaching of Pickleball within the Tega Cay area. 

The Club will work collaboratively 

with the City of Tega Cay to:

• Advocate for new and improved playing venues
• Maximize playing opportunities for everyone in a collegial and sportsmanlike environment
• Provide opportunities for skill development, social events, and competitive events.

We are no longer taking membership dues to Tega Cay Pickleball Club.  With construction of the additional courts about to be underway, TCPB Club Memberships will be converting to City of Tega Cay Pickleball Passholder.   Passholders will have the option to join TCPC at no additional charge.   More information about the new courts and processes will be available soon on the Facebook Group: Tega Cay Pickleball.
